Grades 1-5

Throughout their academic years at Journeys School, students are immersed in seven core discipline areas: mathematics, language arts, science, social studies, Spanish, fine arts and physical education. The curriculum at Journeys School is thematic in nature, based on national standards and influenced by our place and student body. Curriculum maps are used to facilitate integration between disciplines.

Grade 6-8

Journeys School was authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) in 2013. The MYP is designed for students in grades 6-10. It provides a framework of learning which encourages students to become creative, critical and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and to the real world.

Grade 9-12

The high school curriculum consists of a challenging and integrated set of courses culminating in the Capstone and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. By combining innovative content with the traditional disciplines of English, mathematics, the sciences, social studies, world languages and fine arts, students develop the wisdom to make educated decisions while maintaining their unique perspective of the world.
